Production and Operations Manager:

The Role

  • Provide a work environment that stimulates positive energy, creativity and teamwork amongst employees

  • Provide effective management of resources to achieve operational and business objectives and key performance measures

  • Ensuring the correct volume of products are produced efficiently and at the right cost with the highest level of quality and within budget

  • Provide effective coordinating and control of the manufacturing processes and adjust schedules as required to ensure Customer satisfaction

  • Determine and implement improvements to the production processes

  • Review employee performance and identify training needs

  • Deliver coaching and development to improve performance and raise standards of productivity and efficiency

  • Creating exceptional teams and people who thoroughly understand the work and can teach it to others

  • Implement standard operating procedures for production operators and ensure they are adhered to

  • Establishing effective visualization across the production area to ensure problems are highlighted and resolved

  • Ensure corrective action is taken without delay to eliminate defects and quality problems

  • Driving quality assessments and improvement processes

  • Ensure implementation and adherence to Health and safety procedures

  • Initiate, support, sponsor, and implement organizational change

Requirements

  • Experience in a similar role in manufacturing

  • Food manufacturing experience

  • Hands-on

This role will be of interest to candidates currently working as a Team Leader, Production Supervisor, Shift Supervisor, Shift Manager.

Picking and Packing

We are looking for keen and reliable individuals to join the Choc on Choc logistics team. It is a fast paced environment and work needs to be completed within set time periods so that delivery vehicles can set off on time. A good level of fitness is required as you will be lifting, moving and packing stock, and you’ll need to be able to work quickly, as part of a team and using your own initiative.

Responsibilities:

General warehouse duties including the picking and packing of customer orders Unloading deliveries Ideally you will need to be strong as you could be asked to lift 20kg.and helping to replenish stock Assisting with regular stock checks Compliance with security and health and safety procedures Adherence to operational processes and standards of tidiness Using computerised systems, barcode scanners and other technology to record the movement of stock

As a successful applicant you will have: A self motivated and with a ‘can do attitude’ Hard working with impeccable time-keeping Excellent accuracy and numeracy skills Previous experience in a warehouse environment would be beneficial GCSE or equivalent in English and Maths grade C or above.

Hours of Work. Pay for all shifts will be £8/9 per hour dependant on experience and references (paid weekly), 28 days holiday, free parking and full training.
