    Chocolate is so delicious. It just is. If anyone ever tells you that they, “Aren’t really a fan of chocolate”, then they aren’t the kind of person that you should spend too much time with.

    The problem is, we all know that chocolate should be an occasional treat. So you can’t help but feel a little bit of a guilty pang each time you go on a chocolate binge. Here’s what goes through our minds when we get the chocolate munchies…

    1. Wow, I could really go for some chocolate right about now.

    2. Ah, yes! I have that packet of Mars bars in the cupboard that I bought ages ago when they were on offer.

    Our Favourite Chocolate Brownie Recipe…

    It’s difficult to impress a chocolatier with brownies, but this recipe from Jamie Oliver went down a storm in the Choc on Choc office. With its rich chocolate,

     

    Serves 20

    40m (plus chilling time)

    Super easy

     

    Ingredients:

    250g unsalted butter

    200g good-quality dark chocolate (70% cocoa solids), broken up

    75g dried sour cherries, optional

    50g chopped nuts, optional

    80g cocoa powder, sifted

    65g plain flour, sifted

    1 teaspoon baking powder

    360g caster sugar

    4 large free-range eggs

    zest of 1 orange (optional)

    250 ml crème fraiche (optional)

     

    Method:

    A Day in the Life of Choc on Choc

    We also have an incredibly diverse and talented team, each of whom is instrumental to the success of the company. We’ve got the makers in the factory, who hand-make all of our gorgeous products, using the patented Choc on Choc layering method; the packing team, who meticulously pack, wrap, and dispatch all of the completed orders to customers across the globe; and then there are the office ladies, who take the orders, manage distribution, and take care of all the nuts and bolts of running a small business. On top of that, we’ve got Fran and Kerr, who design and create our unique chocolate moulds, and Flo, our chief chocolate lady, flying all over the country to talk to buyers, suppliers, and everyone in-between. It’s non-stop here at Choc on Choc!
